Club Competition Three Report
By Chris De La Rue, Competition Secretary
First
I must apologise for the comp report and the emailing out of scoresheets.
Having just moved to Tumut and trying to get everything in order has bee quite
difficult. That said, I also have to send a very BIG thank you to Billy who
very kindly ran competition three for me and also offer his house up as the venue…. Thanks mate, your support is very much appreciated.
Moving
forward, club completion three was judged on Sunday 26 August 2012.
Being so close
to the ACTABC, traditionally competition number three does not attract a large number of
entries, nevertheless those beers that were put past the judges palates were of
high quality.
By
the end of judging 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze medals were awarded on the
day.
Like
always competitions just don’t run themselves, and even small ones rely on members
volunteering their time to make the event a success, and to those judges and
stewards who helped out on the day I send my sincere thanks!
Outlined
below from the 3 highest point score beers are the results. But before I
sign-off I have to draw your attention to the top beer of the day, being Mark
Overton’s American Barley Wine which scored a sensational 43.67 average out 50
