December 2017 news and meeting preview

Howdy folks, it’s time for the last meeting of 2017! Here are the details:

*** ONCE AGAIN: WEDNESDAY AT GORMAN HOUSE ***

November’s meeting saw the club move to a new venue for the first time in over ten years! Thanks to everyone for being so positive about the change!

As in November, the next club meeting will be held on Wednesday at the Gorman Arts Centre in Civic. The address is Gorman House, 55 Ainslie Ave, Braddon, ACT 2612. Don’t forget to BYO glassware if possible.

There is parking along Batman Street and in surrounding streets. There is also a small U-shaped driveway at the main office which is a good spot to drop any gear off but you can’t park there.

No education session this month, so straight to the meeting.

Six Pack Twelve Days of Christmas Swap

You know the song: “On the twelfth day of Christmas, my brew club gave to me… the twelfth bottle of homebrew from December’s special edition twelve pack swaaaaaap.”

This will only work if we get 13 or more volunteers, so add your name to the list and bring along 12 bottles (can be mixed) for December’s festive swap!

Christmas BBQ

Our yearly family & friends Christmas BBQ will be held on Saturday 9th December at Black Mountain Peninsula (with a backup venue in case of wet weather). Please RSVP on the forum for catering purposes.

No meeting in January

As usual, there will be no meeting in January next year.  The next club night with therefore be in February 2018 – date and venue TBC at this point, so watch this space.

This month’s club meeting will be held this Wednesday 6th December at the Gorman Arts Centre (Gorman House) in Civic from 7.30pm. Bring your beer and don’t forget to bring a glass too!
