Education Session

Easter TrafficWe will be getting a visit from the local constabulary with breathalyser in hand.  How much have you had to drink and should you drive?
The breathalyser educational event will demonstrate how alcohol affects everyone differently.

Library

Make sure you check out the library account.  Visit: https://canberrabrewers.librarika.com/ and check out some great resources and reserve a book or two to read over the next month.  You can reserve a copy of something and we’ll deliver it at the meeting.  If the book is on loan, email education@canberrabrewers.com.au and we’ll arrange it to be brought back for you to borrow.  Don’t have access to the library? Email us and we’ll hook you up.

Raffle Prizes

Some great prizes for this month’s raffle.  PACT’s new Mt Tennent DIPA(Big Ups Kev!), Tim at the Page Bottler has donated a selection of warming beers for winter nights(follow the Page Bottler on Facebook – they have amazing beers!) and another great InkBird donation – a Bluetooth thermometer/hygrometer logger.

Club Comp 2

Celebrate the success of your fellow brewers at last weekend’s Club Comp 2, and share in thanks to those who volunteered their time to judge and steward.  Many great results, and good feedback for all entrants.  Scoresheets and medal certificates will be available at the meeting.

The ACT Championships is the next competition, coming up on 8-9 September – plan your entries!

Six-Pack Swap

The Six-pack swap is a great opportunity to share a few of your beers with other members.  Bring a six-pack of your homebrew and take home a mixed six pack of individually crafted beers from a range of club members. The number of participants is potentially limitless!
Please consider signing onto the six-pack swap on the forum!
As of today, 6 brewers have signed up.  If you don’t have six of the same beer to swap, you can also bring a mixed bag.

Bring Beer, Get Nookie

You Want NOOKIE !
To further your chances of winning that weekend away is to bring beer to the meeting.  Your committee will be awarding additional entries in the annual N.O.O.K.I.E. raffle to brewers who bring beer to meetings.

Brewers who bring at least 750mls of beer will receive 1 N.O.O.K.I.E. entry and brewers who bring a keg will receive 3 N.O.O.K.I.E. entries.

Brewers can claim their N.O.O.K.I.E. entries from the raffle table when tickets are being sold on the night.
